Sew-Along - Duffle Coat INTRO

Hi Everyone, Tanya here! Hope you're all super excited about joining us for our first sew-along!

I put the question out in the group and it looks like the overwhelming majority wanted to try The Duffle Coat so let's do it!!

When: 1st May 2016 to 5th May 2016
Where: Tadah Patterns Facebook Group - each day I will pin a post to the top of the page with the steps to be covered that day. You can follow this post and comment under to show us your progress, ask questions or advice, etc. You can hashtag #tadahdufflecoatSAL on either Facebook or Instagram so we can see your posts.
What do I need: A copy of the Duffle Coat pdf or print pattern. Use the code DuffleSAL to get your discount ($6 off either the pdf or print versions)

If, like me, you've looked everywhere for beautiful wool and not found any, the very lovely Deanne from Fabric Pixie has some amazing woven wool as well as some denim and chambray and has offered all the participants a 15% discount on these products, use the code TADAHDUFFLE at checkout for your discount.  Ohhhh and the best news is that Deanne has pre-washed all the fabric so it is pre-shrunk - you just need to buy the amount you require for your size and it will arrive ready to cut!! My paypal account is about to get a good working out!

Ok, so you're still a bit nervous? But also a bit curious, right? What is a sew-along??

Basically, a sew-along is like a virtual meet-up of a whole bunch of like minded people that love to sew and chat and we’re all sewing the same pattern, so if you've got questions you can ask and we will all be able to help each other out.

The pattern will be completely broken up into steps, and by following a (rough) schedule, we check off all those steps, while chatting about our progress, showing off our projects, helping each other out with fabric choices and ideas. We sew a little bit every day, so it’s not overwhelming, and it can easily fit into anyone’s schedule.

It’s perfect to join a sew-along for a pattern you’re perhaps a bit scared of, a pattern that seems difficult to you or a bit intimidating, because there is always someone who’s at the same step as you are, willing to help out.

You can always jump in at your leisure, so you can catch up if you weren't able to join from the start. You do not need to sign up, just grab your pattern and get ready to start.

Still on board??? YAY!
